ISFP are what we call "Artistic Tigers" - your natural preferences are Introvert, Sensing, Feeling and Perceiving. SP's as a group tend to be individualistic, pragmatic and energetic. They can be relaxed in their attitude to laws and rules but are conscious of problems and keen to fix them in a practical ‘hands-on’ way. Of all the SP "Tigers", ISFP can be the most artistic, whether it be in the fine arts or in the way you desire to create beauty or structure in your surroundings. You have a fine aesthetic sense and an innate knack for knowing what fits and what doesn’t, whether that be in terms of the physical world or the realm of emotions.
You may believe yourself quite shy or at the very least, you often keep your thoughts and feelings to yourself. You flourish in peaceful surroundings although you do relish challenges and adventures which keep you stimulated and prevent you from becoming lazy. You care about other people and are quite "tuned in" to their feelings and wishes. You are naturally kind and generous. You are happy to work towards shared goals or tasks but are just as happy working towards fulfilling your own vision or goal.
Creative and original, you value individuality in others. You enjoy spending time with others who have artistic vision (like you) but you also tend to be quite tolerant of and interested in a variety of other kinds of people, even curious and explorative. Others sense this about you and tend to like you in return. You live in the here and now and prefer to focus on the concrete facts of your immediate surroundings. For this reason you usually have a good eye for picking up details.
You have no great love of mundane or repetitive tasks, preferring new challenges over the everyday to keep your juices flowing and your heart in the world. You are generally adaptable and flexible and have been known to "lose the thread" at times and go off on a seemingly unrelated tangent! However, you do tend to reach your goals, even if you get there in a round-about fashion. In fact, diversions are often fruitful and feed in to unusual or unexpected results or ways of seeing things. What's more, you realize this and open your mind to realizing these benefits.
It is important to remember that all types are normal. There is no right or wrong type, just different ways of being in the world. All of the types are necessary for a balanced society. Although we all have type preferences, we each use all of the other preferences in everyday life too.
In fact, these other preferences can often act as guides and provide opportunities for personal growth.
Your type is Introvert, Extraverted Sensing, Introverted Feeling, Perceiving. Your dominant function (the one which you are most aware of using and which is most developed) is Introverted Feeling. Your auxiliary function, which is designed to balance the dominant function and is also powerful, although less in your control is extraverted sensing. Your inferior function, sometimes known as the teacher, is extraverted thinking.
Although each function can be looked at individually, it is the way in which they interact which really creates your particular way of being in the world.
